Spectrum

Eco Queer-Feminists

About Us

Spectrum is a non-profit eco queer-feminist NGO (Asscoiation 1901) based in France, aiming at advancing feminist values and promoting feminism in societies. Founded in 2014 and led by Iranian diaspora activists in Europe, Spectrum has evolved to respond to the needs of Farsi/Dari-speaking communities, where LGBTQIA+ identities are either criminalized or pathologized.

As forcibly displaced in Europe activists, Spectrum has also been involved in advocacy for gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and human rights of all women andLGBTQIA+ persons at the European and international levels.

We believe in the spectrum of sex, gender and sexual orientation and work together to make the world a better and equal place for everyone on these interconnected spectrums.

In Spectrum we position ourselves in the intersection of queer-feminism, environmentalism, anti-capitalism, anti-colonialism, and anti-racism efforts for a free and equal world.

We are unapologetically intersectional-feminist, anti-racist and trans and gender-diverse inclusive.

Mission

Spectrum is a non-profit eco queer-feminist organisation committed to advancing intersectional feminist values, advocating for the rights, dignity, and well-being of all women and LGBTQIA+ individuals—particularly Farsi/Dari-speaking communities affected by criminalisation and marginalisation.

Through education, digital activism, mental health support, and global advocacy, we promote gender equality, sexual rights, and digital safety while working toward a world where love, fairness, and equality are realities for everyone on the spectrum of sex, gender, and sexuality.

Vision

We envision a liberated world where all individuals—regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression—can live freely and equally.

Grounded in eco queer-feminism, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, environmentalism, and anti-capitalist values, Spectrum strives for a future where diverse communities are empowered, informed, and connected, and where every voice can rise without fear, shame, or censorship.
